About

Catholic answers that show their work.

Apologia Catholic is a Catholic apologetics reference site. It gives clear answers and links readers to the Scripture, early Christian texts, councils, catechisms, and historical sources behind each claim.

How we build an article

Each article states the Catholic claim first, then gives the biblical, historical, and doctrinal evidence. It also answers common objections and ends with a source list so a reader can check the case.

  1. Define the claim in plain terms.
  2. Gather primary sources and name the work, passage, or section cited.
  3. Separate doctrine from historical development and disputed claims.
  4. Present common objections with direct answers.
  5. Record review dates and later edits in the public revision history.

Sources and corrections

We favor primary texts and stable reference works. The source index shows where each source appears across the library. Article pages display their last review date, source list, and revision history so readers can judge how current the work is.

What this site is for

This site helps Catholics, other Christians, and inquirers study what the Catholic Church teaches and why. It is an educational reference, not an official publication of the Holy See, a diocese, or a parish.
